Global market intelligence leader Ipreo, recently expanded its Cape Town operations and celebrated this growth with a launch of their upgraded new office space on the 11th of March this year. The company moved from Riverpark Rondebosch to the 2nd Floor of the illustrious Grove Exchange Building in the upmarket Claremont CBD with the help of Commercial Space, a top commercial property agent whose aim is to ensure a perfect union of tenant and office space within Cape Town, whether they are buying, letting, leasing or developing.

dhk Architects one of South Africa’s leading interior architecture, spatial design and project management consultancies were appointed to refit the interiors of the new Ipreo space.  Design Director Guido Tagge explains the inspiration behind the concept “The new South African headquarters for Ipreo is a vibrant and flexible space that performs to the highest international standards while incorporating local design references.  Efficient space planning ensures maximum flexibility and dhk has created a high-performing office environment in Cape Town for this market intelligence leader.  The brand identity is embedded in the design ethos and made visible through corporate colours and brand values.  We’ve created a variety of shared spaces, from formal meeting rooms to informal breakaway areas to encourage creative and collaborative team work.”

The Ipreo management, Chris Taylor – EVP & Managing Director, Global Investor Relations, Dan Murphy – Managing Director, attended a ribbon cutting ceremony.  There to offer their congratulations were members of the Western Cape government – Solly Fourie, Head of the Department of Economic Trade and Tourism of the Western Cape Government as well as Ian Iverson, Ward Councillor, Subcouncil 20 (Chairperson), Ward 59, City of Cape Town.  Also in attendance was Gareth Pritchard, CEO of Business Process enabling South Africa and Mike Nixon, Owner of New Property Ventures, who along with Ian Iverson is a member of the Board of Directors of Claremont Improvement District Company.

The Ipreo team was congratulated by Pritchard for their contribution to their rapid development of a positive business culture which he said “has given you the platform to deliver for many years to come.  Thank you for the way you’ve gone about doing your business here; thank you for developing this wonderful space.”

The Ipreo brand was first established in Cape Town in February 2008, when Ipreo acquired CapitalBridge formerly known as Citigate Financial Intelligence and Citigate Dewe Rogerson, launched its Cape Town operation in 2002.  The expansion into the new offices after just over a decade a testament to the company’s successful leadership in global capital markets.

The Grove Exchange Building which has a 3-star Existing Building Green Star Rating due to the 200+ roof mounted solar panels, belongs to New Property Ventures and is mandated to let through Commercial Space who were responsible for the successful relocation of Ipreo.  The building offers AAA-grade office space with 2 additional penthouse floors recently added and fitted with a 3m floor to ceiling glass curtain wall façade, providing tenants with sweeping views over the lively city of Cape Town and across to Table Mountain.  Fibre optic cables were installed in the building to ensure lightning fast internet and data speeds for businesses tenants.
